Pumps & Circulation Systems
The circulation pump is the heart of the plant room: it pushes the entire pool volume through the filter and treatment loop on a planned turnover. Size it correctly and the pool stays clear at the lowest possible energy cost.
Variable-speed pumps
A variable-speed drive lets the pump run slowly for normal circulation and ramp up only for backwashing or peak load. Because power rises with the cube of speed, halving the speed cuts energy use to roughly an eighth — the single biggest saving available in any pool plant room.
- Permanent-magnet motors with integrated VSD
- Up to 70% lower energy use versus a fixed-speed pump
- Quiet operation — typically under 50 dB at circulation speed
- Programmable schedules for turnover, heating and cleaning cycles
Single-speed commercial pumps
Where a constant high flow is required — water features, counter-current swim jets, large filters — we fit robust cast-iron or composite single-speed pumps with mechanical seals rated for continuous duty.
Hydraulic design
We calculate the total dynamic head of the whole pipe run, not just the pump, so the pump operates at its best-efficiency point. Correct pipe sizing keeps velocity below 1.8 m/s on suction and 2.4 m/s on return to avoid noise and cavitation.
| Model | Type | Max flow | Motor | Noise |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CW-V075 | Variable-speed | 22 m³/h | 0.75 kW | 48 dB |
| CW-V150 | Variable-speed | 34 m³/h | 1.5 kW | 52 dB |
| CW-F220 | Single-speed | 48 m³/h | 2.2 kW | 60 dB |
